U.S.Pacific fleet and Oahu island

December 7th,1941,Sunday. The flame of World War II was burning in Europe, Africa and Asia. However, there was still a peaceful scene in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Most of the U.S. Pacific Fleet warships were quietly parked on the South coast of Oahu island in Pearl Harbor. The wave was gently shaking the warships and several seagulls were playing over the warship. Navy officers and soldiers, who just had great fun overnight, were still enjoying this Sunday morning. Some were wandering in the streets seeking fun, some stayed on ships enjoying this rare opportunity to have a good sleep.
